Yesterday at church, the the 1st - 4th grade club at church had a guest speaker, Miss Dorothea. Miss Dorothea spoke about how to help the homeless by buying toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, soap and other vital things that homeless people need very much. She talked about the good samaritan story in the Bible and how the church has a good samaritan program. When she was done when most people would expect a small applause from the audience, but instead Jocelyn rushes her and gives her a big hug, then about 7 more children do the same. I had never seen a spontaneous/unique response like that before. I thought it was worth sharing.
