Yesterday, my husband and I took my mom out for lunch at the Olive Garden. Our waitress was very prompt, but quiet. At one point, my mom looked at her and said, You are very good at your job. The waitresses face lit up, she got quiet, tilted her head to the left and said, Thank you. Thank you so much. I watched her demeanor shift after that comment -- she smiled more at others and seemed a little brighter. Way to power up her day, mom!
