Yesterday was an awesome family day for us. Church (we all wore Tammys favorite color, purple), took up 3 1/2 pews. Had potluck, Navajo tacos, we were especially favored with Grandma Holtsoi making the frybread (so soft and fluffy), CB made his specialty, homemade salsa (love the touch of cilantro, touch of habanero) and the rest was all tender loving onions, garlic and spices....yum, yum. When I try to make it, it always turns out green. CBs is red as it should be. We had a time of prayer and tears. We cleaned up and a few of us went to the cemetery. Cleaned up Tammys grave and added more flowers. More and more we know those who are buried around Tammy. One of Tammys dearest friends, Candace Nez is buried just a row away. Candace was born 5 months before Tammy and they both died in 2013. Little did they ever know that that would happen. They both graduated from Gallup High in the same year and graduated from college in the same year. She was close, she could have been another daughter. I love my family. By the way, after all that rain and snow, it was beautiful. We thought we might get stuck in the mud, but God gave us an awesome afternoon, very little mud, no puddles, melted snow and no wind....we could not have asked for any more. Thanks to everyone who called, sent cards, spent the day with us, prayed for us. Much love to all of you.
