Yesterday was our RBC After School Year End Party and we had many special guests including the Mayor of Summerside Basil Stewart, City Councillors, the Rotary and RBC! There were also a lot of awards given out at our party! Staff members Morgan Carlile, Trena Rogers and Kenny Culleton were presented with awards for their dedication to our Club for 5 years or more! Our Rogers Raising the Grade mentors Olivia Cass and Patrick Steele were the recipients of our $1000 Gold Rush Legacy Scholarhip as well as a full-time summer job! Jayme Misener, another Rogers mentor, was awarded a $500 bursary for having at least 100 volunteer hours! Another big announcement was that we received $60,000 from the Rotary for renovations of our future Youth Engagement Centre. The last awards to be given out at our party were the 2014 Larry Gallant Memorial Boy and Girl of the year awards! This years lucky and well-deserving recipients were Daniel Banks and Chloe Woods!
