You know I said I wasnt going to comment on this Ray Rice thing because frankly who really cares what I think, but I couldnt resist. I see all these men complaining about the double standard. Lets all be honest there is a double standard, but lets be honest about something else, its deserved. One thing especially many of us black brothers and sisters know about is White privilege. I think most of us would agree that this exists. We also have to be willing to acknowledge that there is Male Privilege! Men our life is inherently easier just by virtue of waking up in the morning. Lets face it, we get paid more for doing the same jobs as women, we get abused significantly less, and we can pee standing up (and lets face it thats the best out of all three of those). This concept is a little complex for black men and women considering black men are much more likely to get shot for no good reason, but thats another rant. Women should never hit men, thats just a given, and women you shouldnt expect a man to be a gentleman when you are acting a fool, heck even Jesus flipped tables over when they pushed him far enough! But guys come on, be real, no matter the case, there is no reason to ever put your hands on a female. Not saying you shouldnt want to......you should just never do it.
