You know...I wouldnt be surprised if whites only signs start appearing in windows of businesses on bathroom doors and in areas of public transportation...people and their minds as well as hearts are not progressing they are regressing. I remember certain things growing up and watching how my obviously Puerto Rican mother would spoke to or handled sometimes and it making me feel some type of way...till this day I still see people treat her indirectly disrespectfully like her neighbors...😔 shes so unbothered by racial issues that she doesnt even realize when it happens but because Im so conscious I see it...my mom has a bigger house more cars always keeps the house immaculate both in and out...her heart is big and she always shares food and clothing. It bothered me one day so I brought it to her attention with hurt and anger asking mother, why are you always so nice and social to these people that dont even like you and call you racist names?! She just looks at me and says Alia(my mom calls me by my middle name) I dont care about how they feel or what they think...I do these things because I just like to do it. They dont have what I have they dont pay my bills and they dont stop what I have going on everyday...now leave it alone. But I could tell I had hurt her a bit...I dont think she realized the hate till I pointed it out...I could see the suppressed look of WOW in her eyes. And that ended up hurting my soul. I feel like I have to protect my moms kindness sometimes not realizing...thats how she kills!
