You know what disappoints me? People that think the President is supposed to have a press conference, release a statement or close the country for prayer every time something horrible happens. If that was the case he/she would always be closing the country. While Im glad he acknowledged our struggles, it isnt his job to make note to every piece of news that hits the media. His job is to run this country to the best of his ability. The fact that he mentioned #MikeBrown and Robin Williams is because we are a country that is run by social media/public opinion and the like; it makes him human to acknowledge the things that hit home to most Americans. Question: Has Mayor Slay made a statement? Has he been to a rally? Hes our most accessible leader. We expect President Obama to march and prostest with us because hes black. I want him to stay in the White House and lower the deficit, keep our allies friendly and keep our enemies from bombing on us. I dont expect him to be Rev. Al Sharpton or Esther Haywood. He isnt your uncle and he isnt required to come to the funeral. Hes the President of the United States.
