You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. (John 14:14) Dearly beloved, Once, a preacher gave an example as how we could blaze as flames of fire. He said, “Firewoods can easily catch fire only when they are kept uncovered. Then fire will start blazing from them.” Similarly, we too need to do the following things to burn as fire: The Bible advises us to be thankful (Colossians 3:15). Accordingly, we must always tell others about the benefits that the Lord has given us. When we receive even a small blessing from the Lord, we should tell our friends and others about it and that how good He is! Then He will bless us all the more. Lord Jesus has said, “Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these” (John 14:12). When firewood is burnt, it gives forth ash. We need to remove this ash and place fresh firewood for the fire to continue to burn. Likewise, when we pray, miracles happen. But not stopping with just a day’s miracle, we need to pray every day and expect new and bigger miracles from the Lord. Lord Jesus has said, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” (John 14:14). He has promised to give whatever you ask in His name. Therefore, always present your requests to God with prayer and thanksgiving. Besides, be persistent in prayer. Then you shall receive whatever blessing you ask of Him. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You have promised your wonderful blessings for me. I present my requests to You with thanksgiving. I ask You for your divine blessings in your wonderful name. Give me a thankful heart and the grace to pray every day. May I receive whatever blessing I ask of You. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
