You might disagree with this completely, you might think it is kiwi bashing, but the point is that as a major food producer relying on food exports for most of our overseas income, we cannot afford publicity like this. Now obviously the Daily Mail is surfing on the Fonterra debacle. Fonterra has let us down badly not only endangering their own brand but New Zealand as a whole. The other important point is that we as food producers, promoting ourselves as clean and green must be a leader in environmentalism not a follower. Our continuing success as a food producer relies on that perception.
