Your Week of Compassion offerings continue to bless Tuscaloosa. A check was presented to Nancy Green of Compassion Coalition to cover some of the cost of ongoing projects that our teams have been involved in (and probably some new ones). I cannot begin to thank everyone enough who had any part of the ministry to Tuscaloosa starting with Josh Baird and Brian Gilven who were here within the first couple of weeks of the tornado, Pattie and Rex Williams who were the lead team for the LT volunteers, and all the LT volunteers teams (Bill and Connie Smith, Dwight and Bernie Elrod, Steve Huston, and Ron and Judy Anderson) who directed the volunteer teams. The teams varied in size from the largest of 29 to the smallest of 1 and several teams made return visits. Tuscaloosa was truly blessed by those on the scene and all those who made their mission trips possible. Our prayers and support go out to future teams who will continue their work in other areas experiencing disasters. Please continue to support Week of Compassion and Disciples Volunteering as they reach out to those in need. 2 Corinthians 9: 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
