Youth Exchange Program - Call for Applications! Inter-Cultural Youth Exchange Program is one of the activities introduced by NYFN during the 1st Nepal Youth Forum in 2013. This activity was most liked by NYFs participants and as continuation of the program, NYFN planned to conduct two exchange programs in Kailali and Udayapur this year. Tharu Village in Kailali (March 8 to 14) and Rai Village in Udayapur (date tbd) has chosen for the exchange. Other eight locations are under the selection process and total 10 exchange programs with 100 participants will be organized in 2014. NYFN in partnership with Nepal Tourism Board, Youth Time International Movement and Nepal Government now calls for applications by the interested youth between age of 15-29 (by 5th of March for Kailali and by 18th of March for Udayapur exchange program). Interested youths are requested to send their CV and application at [email protected] or make a direct call to NYFN office +977 1 4102900 if you dont have the access to internet. Commitment fee is NRs. 2000* (Two Thousand Rupees only). Ground transportation and food/accommodations will be covered by the program as per the norms of NYFN but not other expenses based on the private behavior will be covered. Total 18 youths will be selected for two exchanges from the application process, based on the enthusiasm and norms of inclusion (gender, cast and culture, geography including people with disability and disadvantage groups). Youth are expected to help the community they go, teach youth and children they meet and does other community work encouraging the local youth participation.
