ZOEY URGENTLY NEEDS A BLOOD DONOR Remember the badly injured mommy dog we rescued late last night, whose stomach reportedly had a long cut. We named her Zoey; Zoey means life. Zoey is heavily pregnant and she was hit by a car, fracturing her hip and ripping her stomach open. It is more than a long cut – her entire stomach is open. If you had seen her last night, you would have broken down and cried too, for her pain and what she has endured before Hope came along. Zoey URGENTLY NEEDS A BLOOD DONOR TODAY. Her blood count is very low and we may lose her any time. We will provide a full update tomorrow as our volunteers are all engaged with rescue work and various activities today. However, IF YOU HAVE A DOG THAT CAN DONATE BLOOD TO ZOEY AND SAVE HER LIFE, please call the clinic where Zoey is warded at. To donate blood, your dog must be between 2 to 5 years old and weigh more than 18 kg. Your dog also needs to be up to date on vaccinations, Frontline and Heartgard protection. Zoeys blood type is DEA 1.1 negative. Please bring your dog to Mount Pleasant Veterinary Centre, 2 Jalan Gelenggang, S (578187) located in the Upper Thomson area. Tel : 62517666 and tell them your dog is donating blood to Zoey from Hope Dog Rescue. If you are unsure of your dog’s blood type, you may bring your dog to the same vet for blood typing.
