ENGLAND, SCOTLAND & WALES - Scroll down for Irl / N. Irl & Co, Wexford. Thursday sees mist & fog clearing most places early to bring a mix of sunshine & some cloud. There will be good spells / periods of warm sunshine for most areas through the day with temps getting up to between 17 and 24 north to south around 15 in the Western Isles. The risk of a few scattered showers in northern areas. Very light winds fore most but moderate southerly winds for Scotland. Thursday night sees some rain or showers in the west and north of Scotland and some may be heavy. Dry elsewhere. Winds slackening and becoming more variable. Friday starts is dry and bright for England and Wales with good sunny spells / periods breaking through for many areas, especially further south. A band of showers, some prolonged, across central Scotland will be slow moving and gradually move south to affect southern Scotland. Becoming mostly dry and brightening up in northern & western Scotland with some sun breaking through. Becoming cloudier in northern England later. Temps around 14 to a very warm 26 degrees, north to south. Light to moderate N/NW winds for most but more variable in some areas and fresher in the very north & northwest. Friday Night sees any remaining showers in southern Scotland / northern England gradually dying out while a few showers with a slight risk of thunder will move into northern Scotland. Dry elsewhere. Winds see no real change. Saturday sees a few showers with a slight risk of thunder continuing in N/NE Scotland and a few scattered light showers mixed with good sunny spells / periods elsewhere - the sunshine varying from place to place. Cool in the north with temps around 10 to 13 degrees - coolest inland Scotland. Temps increasing as we move further south ranging from around 17 degrees in northern England to around a very warm 27 degrees in southern England. Winds, continuing mainly light to moderate N/NW for most but more variable in some areas and fresher in the very west & north. Depending on exactly where an anticyclone may anchor itself over the weekend, the highly likely scenario from Sunday to Wednesday sees it staying largely dry but some mist & fog may occur at times. Winds will stay light to moderate and vary in direction from S to NE. Theres a good chance of plenty of sunshine with just some cloud at times. Temps will may a good recovery in the north by Tuesday, but falling back 3 or 4 degrees on Saturdays in the south by Sunday and likely not getting above 23 or 24 again. . There are hints of an interruption from the west shortly after middle of next week and things are uncertain from here. However, the better weather may hold on longer. IRELAND / N. IRELAND Thursday sees fog clearing most places early to bring a mix of sunshine & some cloud. There will be good spells / periods of warm sunshine for most areas through the day with temps getting up to between 19 in the east and 22 in the west. It will gradually cloud up in the west as the day goes on with a chance of some rain or drizzle. The risk of a few scattered showers elsewhere. Very light winds overall. Thursday night sees some rain or drizzle in the west and north but amounts will likely be small. Winds will become N/NW and freshen a little. Friday starts dry and bright in the south and east with good sunshine breaking through but a band of showers, some prolonged, in the west and north will gradually push south during the day with some heavier ones possible. Dry weather following into the NW. The very south & southeast will likely stay dry until evening or night and some areas here may escape altogether. Temps, 15 to 21, NW to SE in moderate N/NW winds. Friday Night sees any remaining showers in southern areas dying out. Winds will stay moderate N/NW. Saturday is a largely dry day with a mix of cloud and sunshine - the sunshine varying from place to place. Cool in the north - temps 14 to 18 degrees, north to south, in moderate N/NW winds. Friday Night sees any remaining showers in southern areas dying out. Winds will stay moderate N/NW. Saturday is a largely dry day with a mix of cloud and sunshine - the sunshine varying. Cooler with temps 17 or 18 degrees in moderate N/NW winds. Depending on exactly where an anticyclone may anchor itself over the weekend, the highly likely scenario from Sunday to Wednesday sees it staying largely dry but some mist & fog may occur at times. Amounts are likely to be small though. Winds will stay light to moderate and vary in direction from S to NE. Theres a good chance of plenty of sunshine with just some cloud at times. Temps will may a good recovery in the north, and will likely get up into the low twenties for much of Ireland - however, easterly breezes mat take the top off these at times in the east.
