as all i say is still being said let me tell you about denominations. whats worse then the church being so mindlessly separated by denominations? because gary and carol could do no wrong in the past i thought that my christian protestant non denominational church was the way to be. gary could tell me of all the doctrine why its the best and its very convincing. college church is a great church for high class, cultured intellects. my favorite part of the church is the STARS disabilities ministries that kristin pretty much runs. i appreciate the guest orchestral musicians in the regal looking sanctuary with the greek-like columns. sorry dad, but i figured this one out. being called a non-denominational protestant is another wolf in sheeps clothing. its just another name to separate the church. denominations tell us that their way is the way to worship (at best its just preferences--but most people view it as the most right so they go here instead of there). at its WORST a denomination replaces jesus by saying we KNOW whats best. lets be honest-- what do we know? again at its best a denomination is purely based on worship style as some christians like the cheesy terribleness that i hate because the YHWH i love is not cheesy. my parents like the classic hymns. i prefer them better than kloves awfulness but in honesty i think the church deserves some orchestral dubstepped metal. those kinds of music better reflect the all powerful as i can literally feel more power in those kinds of music. i love college churchs guest orchestral musicians-- the organ has a lot of power but some of the higher pitched organ ness can get obnoxious. i like it deeeeeep! anyway, denominations are for comfortability. we go to the church that makes us feel better about our walk with God. the more we fit in to our church the less we have to fear about our salvation. in this we forget that jesus is the thing that washes us of our sin because now we get to compare our actions to the church we are at. but we dont even really get to compare because all we do is go in and sit down like its a movie theater only it is not as epic sadly. the modern church, out of the fear we all have not to disappoint it, has caused stagnance and destruction. if we are real with ourselves and others we will acknowledge that we are going to continue to fall and fail. when we start comparing our walks to other peoples we lose congregation. it is this kind of talk and thinking when i was saved it completely transformed me opposed to when I was saved it put me on babysteps. the problem with these things of course is that only YHWH can judge. christians always have to judge themselves to the rest to know if theyre on the right path though. yay unfaithful judgement!! gotta love its chaos!
