asking a general question: answer truthfully... do you want to know what the artist was thinking/feeling when creating an artwork, what influenced or inspired it -- or do you prefer to view art without the backstory? Many times I love the emotion/feelings I get from looking at an artists piece, yet when Im told what it is about, sometimes it detracts from my experience as a viewer (for me at least) -- same as loving a song and then watching the crappy video and wishing I hadnt, I never hear the song the same way again. Im asking because I have been very private thus far on the story behind my pieces... the struggle to communicate vs. the fear of emotional exposure is real. Is it more relatable leaving questions unanswered? I will need to decide this for my website. Thoughts?
