at about 9:15 this morning, our Crazy American Bulldawg, Spirit, - TopicsExpress

at about 9:15 this morning, our Crazy American Bulldawg, Spirit, passed on to the next world to run with her recently departed cousin, Ginger. Spirit was a couple weeks shy of 11 years old. Let me tell you about Spirit. She was fierce looking, but with a gentle heart. When some of the grandkids were real small, they would pull her ears and tail or take a chewy from her. The worst they got was a wet tongue lashing from Spirit. She pulled a guy out of a window that was breaking into the apartment below ours. She jumped a 4 foot fence, knocked a guy down and broke his wrist and arm shortly after he tried to punch me. She refused to let my wife go past her on the stairs then proceeded to chase a person hiding on the side of my van that was breaking in. Spirit bit a guy who made the mistake of sticking his hand in the window trying to sell me crack. He wont ever do it again. Spirit loved just about anyone, but was a good judge of character....certainly better than me. Her favorite place was to sleep between my legs from puppy size to full grown! And she had mooching down to a science! Annette and I are having her cremated then we will scatter her ashes at Edgewater park in Cleveland, where her and I spent a lot of time. She will be missed greatly. Even her two little weineer dog sisters, Angel and Gracie are showing signs of mourning her. She is gone but not forgotten. Run free, Big Dog, run free......
