at the height of Pres. marcos governance in the early 70s, chaos, confusion and struggle for survival among the people, was induced by communist bloc in connivance with economic saboteurs, oligarch and the chinese who had control practically all businesses in the country. During that time Pres. marcos had to declare martial law, to counteract/neutralize the leftists-communists bloc of ninoy aquino who sowed troubles in urban areas and orchestrated kidnappings, killings involving their own groups in their power struggle for supremacy in their hukbalahap - communist party.
