crazy-smart Ozzy Osbourne UK singer (with Black Sabbath) and songwriter is having his 66th birthday today. After the Black Sabbath days Ozzy went solo and along with his family let the TV cameras into their private lives with huge world wide ratings results and new found fame. Folk singer (and nice guy) Ralph McTell is 70 today. Ralph burst onto the folk scene in 1967 with his self-penned hit Streets Of London, and although he released many more good songs after that, he could never repeat the success. One of the worlds great crooners Andy Williams would have been 86 today but was 84 when he departed on 25th September 2012 (already 2 years gone!). Andy had many many hits incl. Moon River,Cant Take My Eyes Off You,Cant Get Used To Losing You,Almost There and Love Story amongst them. Andy hosted his own NBC TV show between 1962 - 1971. Country giant Ferlin Husky (Wings Of A Dove) was born on this date in 1925, Ferlin died in March 2011. It was on this date 57 years ago in 1957 that new name Sam Cooke ascended to the No.1 spot on the charts with his great hit You Send Me for the first of 3 consecutive weeks and weve been loving it ever since ....
