fine...in a long hallway there are 100 lightbulbs. They are in sockets with pull-chains that switch the bulbs from on to off...or off to on. All of the bulbs are all off. Outside there are one hundred people (assume they are numbered in some manner. tags, t-shirts whatever) The first person goes down the hallway. This person (person 1) pulls every pull-chain. The second person goes down the hallway pulling every second chain. The third person goes down the hallway pulling every third chain. This pattern goes on with all 100 people until person 100 pulls the chain on the one-hundredth bulb. After all 100 people go through the hall way, which lights are on, which lights are off...and why?
