following up on the bone marrow biopsy result: the delay in posting about it has to do with one result taking so long to come back (its a PCR for the initial leukemia mutation but that test was negative since I went back into remission anyway) at least 50% relapses of AML after transplant occur within six months or so, and the lions share occur within the first year. long story short, the biopsy showed no leukemia and complete remission. The bone marrow is now 100% occupied by my donors cells. God bless this young lady! This is basically the best result one can have. I pray this situation will continue! Since the relapse in february, I dont take anything for granted but in the spirit of taking things a day at a time this is a stupendous result and carries me one step closer to being considered cured though that is still at least two years away.
