Doctrine and Covenants 117:13 In Sacrament meeting today, a Canadian Stake President who visits our branch quite often, bore his testimony of being called to serve a mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He and his wife werent expecting nor were they desiring a mission call at this time. But, he said that when the Prophet of God (or one of his representatives) extends a call, there is only one answer to give. So theyre going! Likewise, when we receive calls to serve (in whatever capacity) from our leaders we should accept them AND fulfill them with all the energies we have. The blessings we receive through sacrifices we make on our Heavenly Fathers behalf are far greater than any increase we could receive here on this earth.
