have a question for anybody who reads this. Please comment if you agree with me, and would commit to joining and sharing dogs on a page like this: I am thinking about creating a group page for shelter dogs at small, rural, low kill or no kill shelters. Or even big ones that are low or no kill. Of course I find the high kill shelters heartbreaking. But I also find it very heartbreaking when I see shelters who are trying sooo hard to keep the dogs alive and healthy while they wait for someone to notice them. These are often in smaller, rural areas with no adoption traffic, and no or few rescue contacts. Imagine if you are a volunteer or even the manager of a shelter like this. Day after day, you care for the dogs, you build a relationship with them, get to know each one, love on them, and then have to turn around and put them back into their tiny cement pen, and leave them there cold and alone for possibly another 23 hours.
