hey so keep forgetting to do this but to everyone who I have talked to about or are interested in volunteering at the Flying Horse Farms I am setting up a large group to all go volunteer together for a weekend. It will be in spring, around april or may, exact date will be decided later when I get a feel for which weekend works best for people. FYI even though its in spring it takes awhile for some of the paper work to go through for the first time you volunteer so if your interested please let me know and I can give you more details. It should really be alot of fun if we can get alot of people to go (even funnier if we make up like half the weekend volunteer staff lol) and ride together down there. For those of you who dont know and may be interested the Flying Horse Farms, or are just curious, it is a camp for children with serious illnesses. It is part of the Serious fun network which is a non-profit organization started by Paul Newman (the actor or better know for his salad dressing lol) which builds and runs camps (all over the world) specifically designed and exclusive to kids with serious illnesses (cancer, heart disease, sickle cell, etc). The flying horse farms is a very recently built camp right outside of Columbus (about and hour and a half from Cleveland). Volunteering there basically entails just having a ton of fun with really great kids for a couple of days lol. Its like a normal camp with every thing you would find at any summer camp but it truly is a special place and I love getting to volunteer there. So that went on pretty long..... lol sorry but I really am passionate about this place and I really want to share it with every one I can.
