It was originally based on spoken word poetry. Hip Hop is poetry, art, and how you feel. This is so over looked today by so many people that this has become a dying art. Sometimes art transcends everything else at the moment. Maybe if we can slow down, shut up, and just listen we can all truly feel what the artist is trying to say.
