i am not nearly wise enough nor knowledgeable enough to know the full truth to this. BUT i do believe that during my lifetime there has been a huge increase in the desire for folks to be labeled with some syndrome so that in essence there is an excuse not focusing, or not doing your homework, or just being totally rude. i know several people that i put in that rude category that have self diagnosed themselves as Aspbergers, when they really have almost none of the real characterisitics of Asbergers. They are just rude (which the Asbergers folks that i have known are not). and other folks that have diagnosed themselves as ADHD. I dont believe it is all without merit, but i think there is a lot to what is being said in this article. Sometimes, some of us are just lazy and dont want to pay attention in class because we hate MATH or some girl is cuter than the teacher
