i quit coffee last week and am talking rhodiola and phosphadityl sterine which help knock down excess cortisol...this newfound peace is unfathomable. if you want a total change of pace, try quitting coffee and see how you feel (after a few days of withdrawal/headaches. those are from your blood vessels in your brain dilating, as caffeine has been constricting them.) teecino makes a yummy non-caffinated replacement tea with chicory and fig (tastes kind of like coffee), and you can get it gluten free. while coffee has been shown to prevent type 2 diabetes and is one of our greatest sources of antioxidants (good things), it also, oddly enough, spikes insulin and cortisol (not good at all). you can get antioxidants elsewhere. if you need to find your calm, try stopping for a week (teecino instead if youll miss the taste, as i did) and see how it makes you feel. its been a gentle miracle.
