im sorry this is a bit long but i was very emotional hearing what this lady did. a friend of mine told me a beautiful story about her sister in law that passed. the woman was ill for a long time and knew her time frame to get her affairs in order. she insisted that she have no funeral, no wake when it was her time. there would only be a service for 2 hours and done. what this wonderful woman did do was this. she planned everything she wanted without anyone knowing for a date of her choosing and had her lawyer send invitations to 75 people be at a hall that was catered at her direction. this lady created the event so there was an overhead projector with pictures and video of music and pics and a personalized video made from the day she was born clear up to a week before she left this world. she wrote a personalized letter to each person invited and told each one how they met and how she felt about them on video as they read it, the impact they made upon her life from every friend to her children. even during the video her husband began to cry and this lady said on the video to him, stop crying herbert (not his name) and the room laughed and cried. she planned and paid for it all in advance to be on her terms. i think her impact on them says volumes. i love her way of thinking this out.
