......in what idiotic mindset/world is Richie Incognito, a white NFL player, considered an honorary Black man? I dont want to insult any Black NFL player, or challenge their intellect, or anyone else for that matter, but to openly infer that a racist, borderline crazy person (in Incognito), is more of a recommended teammate, than an educated, soft-spoken Stanford graduate, tells me that the NFL has some very serious issues, as far as their macho-cultural beliefs are concerned! In my opinion. this speaks to much deeper issues inside the NFL and individual team locker rooms, about how we perceive NFL players, and how they look at each other! According to many of the stories coming out of the Miami Dolphins locker room now, many players feel that Martin somehow abandoned his teammates, when he decided to take a non-violent approach, to how he was being treated by Incognito, and left the team for some outside intervention! While I understand how the expectation of fighting violence with violence is expected and rewarded in most football circles (becuz of the pervasive macho culture), the reality that sometimes players can go too far with how they push/motivate other players, is a very real possibility as well! Stay tuned.....I think theres gonna be more to this story, before its over!
