is crying tears of joy right now. I was able to run today and my endurance time was better than it was before my the surgeries. Praise God! Its been so hard. After my first brain surgery in January I had no cognitive or physical deficits. The tumor unfortunately grew back during my first round of radiation in March. This time they are able to remove all of tumor and the doctors were happy and said I had a perfect MRI. But there were complications associated with them going deeper into my brain to remove the last tumor. I lost motor skills on my right side and could not feel my lower right leg because signals to my nerves were not being processed correctly from my body. I have struggled in the month since the surgery to retrain my body and right side through faith, prayer, stubbornness and sheer wrought iron determination. Once I stopped lamenting what I could not do I was able to focus on what I could do to help myself. Just a month ago I was not able to wrap my right hand around a cup and I was leaning hard on a right leg I could not feel. Today I was able to break from power walk to run and I am so grateful. Yes, I am grateful for the entire miracle of my life but God knows how much my fitness journey meant to me before all this when I was working out regularly, biking and jogging. To have the fuller use of my body back with improved stamina beyond is words right. #LookAtGod #KnowThatPowerIsInYou Run This Town (Literally) I am coming BACK soon!
