it’s time to stop thinking of feeding the hungry as a charitable cause and instead focus on making access to food a human right. Monday, faith and charity leaders gathered in Albany to explain their plan for how New York can begin doing that. And their suggestions include government funding for emergency food, more funding for child nutrition programs, and a higher minimum wage. Mark Dunlea from the Hunger Action Network of New York State joined us to explain.
