just read some comments on a friends page regarding the Paula Deen situation(i use that loosely)---for those of you who dont know what the word "nigger" triggers(no pun intended)...that word is unequal to any other word for a majority of black people--why? because it serves to degrade you as a human being.Its negative connotations imply that other races are superior to you(as a black person). Yes unfortunately we have youth using it ignorantly(and even some of us older people).I dont like the word and dont use it,but do hear it often in conversations used haphazardly. My point if people who DID FIGHT FOR EQUAL RIGHTS(and you must first acknowledge that was the fight--not blacks wanted anything else ,but EQUAL RIGHTS),then you will NOT USE THE WORD OR SUPPORT ITS USE-as ive stated i havent seen the interview yet,but on the posts(which were white people they compared the word to the word "cracker"(which people also use to degrade white people).Which i dont use that word either and agree it is offensive. I am obviously not white,but if someone called me that name i am sure it would offend! My point is not to use ANY WORD that degrades ANY RACE,OR GENDER cause we were ALL MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD and He expects us to treat our neighbor as we treat ourselves. For some that is a problem cause you treat yourself bad(that is a whole different issue). But dont act as if the word "nigger" is NOT ONE OF THE MOST EVIL WORDS,
