Josh Turley yielded 3 of the 4 runs off him on 2 first inning home runs to fall to 3-2. Lakeland 3 Daytona 1. A 2-run single by Jared Reaves came an inning too late to make a winner out of Tommy Collier (6 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts). Alex Burgos notched his 2nd save. West Michigan 3 Lansing 2. Wynton Bernard scored twice and Javier Betancourt drove in two to make Kevin Ziomek (9-6) a winner. Ziomek maintained his strikeout pace with 8 in 6 innings. He gave up one of the runs on 3 hits and a walk. State College 1 Connecticut 3. Three first inning runs were enough as A.J. Ladwig (3 scoreless), Josh Laxer (3-0, 4 inn. 1 run 4 strikeouts), and Gabe Hemmer (struck out the side in the ninth) starred on the mound. Will Maddox was in the middle of the rally, scoring a run, plating another. GCL Yankees2 2 Tigers 10. David Gonzales and Will Kengor each had 2 rbis and Orvin Tovar garnered 3 hits in a laugher. Anthony Castro picked up his 4th win against 2 losses. Gerson Moreno twirled 3 shutout innings.
