moot betrayed us. 8chan is chosen as the new bastion of free speech. --- --- --- An idea for 8chan refugees: It would be ideal to keep the vast majority of discussion to a single thread. The reason why there was so much momentum was because the GG threads had literally everyone in them. Any time there was another thread about it there were always /v/anguards redirecting people to the real thread. This evades many logistical problems, like not having to open several threads and go between several tabs all the time. Attention is important and getting things out are important, and though we are all doing different things, having everyone in one thread gets information as fast as possible. We were moving at 2-3 posts every 5 seconds (800/hour), and everyone saw every one of those posts. Due to the structure of 4chan, the /v/ GG threads spread information faster than anywhere else, more reliably than anywhere else, because there are no complex visibility mechanics at play like there are on Facebook or Twitter or Reddit or other sites. This is basically the same problem wed have if moot made us a separate board. They call it containment threads like its keeping in a problem, but it is one of our major strengths. All it takes are a few /v/anguards creating quality OP posts and other /v/anguards helping bump it up the catalog. Returning to 4chan might not be something in our ability. But this is definitely something we can do.
