my beautiful husky, Eli, died suddenly this evening on the way to the emergency clinic. he was fine last night. This morning he was not feeling good but seemed to be acting fine. I was gone all day and Sam called me and told me that Eli was acting strange. lethargic, walking in an odd, stiff gait. He seemed out of it. When I got home, Eli was laying on the floor, not very responsive. When Sam lifted him to carry him out to the car, blood ran out of his rear. On the way to the clinic, he crossed the Bridge. He had bled from his mouth. I had a parvo test done which was negative. The vet said he either had poisoning which is u likely since i keep no poison around or it was an autoimmun e disease. My Eli is gone. I feel i failed him. I promise all my dogs that I will keep them safe and i let him down. I am so sorry, Eli. Run with the wind beyond the Bridge.You will always be in my heart.
