my recent poetry that i feel decent about poem on marriage Live a life loyal to another Placing them above you and all others No need to fall into clichés To receive you piers thoughtless praise Government or religion will not strengthen unity But how you choose to act in life’s opportunities If you truly love and really care Let them know and be aware ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Ignore the want to look to the past Regretful feelings I must outlast I dig and dissect choices I’ve made Harmful feelings and thoughts always seem to invade Mistakes have great worth When you learn something new Continue your path never seize to pursue Take your pain and use it as fuel Motivate yourself Don’t treat yourself Cruel Set your eyes forward to what could come Regret is weak never succumb ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I feel trapped and surrounded by thoughts so vapid Stupidity is a disease attacking so rapid It’s hard to hold value to things shown these days People disappoint me in so many ways So rare to find an open mind Most of this world seems so blind People close and lock their door Missing out on life and the chance to explore Possibilities for life have no end So much more to comprehend To care for things that holds no meaning It’s only hurtful and demeaning You hold potential to it all Try your hardest to break your wall As your eyes open to what’s around This world will cause you to feel astound ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// No bigger leap then to trust People look to fulfill there lust Deceiving for there personal gain My confidence they try to attain No one goes out without there mask Who you are they don’t care to ask Like an item on a shelf They want to own you for themself ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// weight of heavy eyes beam down their judgment on me Casting harsh accusations because our opinions disagree To have an appearance define a person is lazy and naive Under cloth into a person there is much more to perceive We are our words and our actions Don’t let outer exterior become your distraction We do not choose how we appear Only life’s actions we persevere To cast off others without the chance to know You might miss out on learning to grow We all are different with gifts to share No need to put down others and compare Accept each person for who they are inside Try not to be so quick to decide
