my thoughts on the situation between egypt and ethiopia, is simple - TopicsExpress

my thoughts on the situation between egypt and ethiopia, is simple , that egypt develops a policy that is more far reaching and in the opposite direction of the current stupid populist policy drivvle that is going on, think more further down the line and engage with ethiopia in developing a regional enrgy grid, which incorporates the sudans and other nations aswell, there is clear evidence that egypt needs electricity supplies and the solution is the ethiopian dam, which in my mind should be linked to the congo for a greater african energy grid, if thiscan be managed it would take africas base industries further, thething is that eg,world bank and other capital provision agencies are obviously going to be favouring extractive and resource hoovering industries as priority, thats how the system is geared, now about the millions of joe blogs whoshould be benefitting from these initiatives by twenty twenty ? i,ve got a feeling they wont, because of deliberate negligence to their unheard needs, so can wisdom prevail and can the world bank engineera solution which also supports community level needs ? stragely the cape to cairo railway could be used as a blue print to a super power energy grid, south africas willing to buy from congo ? so can egypt do the same with ethiopia, would make a lot of sense ! so collaboration is the way forward, also i think run of the river along the nile could be a real possibility that would possibly help to solve sudans and egypts energy needs, so lets try harder to look for answers and solutions, and think outside of 1950s geo political mind sets, i think this is where egypts political clique needs to re invigorate itself, i told you before work to the south and you will become more successfull, when will you listen, thiss is how your previous great civilizations worked ? i think that thisis ethiopias century, and it has made great strides over the last twenty years, i can remeber the all the problems that ethiopia had with starvation and drought, ethiopia could possibly really start to come strongin the next twenty years, but this again depends on how ethiopias elite wants to engage with its neighbours of eritirea, djibouti and somalia ? again the line drawing exercises where designed to stop ethiopia from having coastal access, hence the need for greater neighbourly relations, i think that if eritrea and djibouti worked WITH ethiopia this would benefit all concerned, so lets take it to a new level of thinking, please forgive my british elites, and their inferiority complex !
