nytimes/2014/10/27/nyregion/ebola-quarantine.html What appeared to be a triumph of meticulous forensic work by New York City health officials, in retracing Dr. Spencer’s every step late last week, looked like a potential nightmare to governors who suddenly contemplated having to repeat such an exercise over and over, across their states, should more individuals violate voluntary isolation guidelines. If you are willing to put your life at risk to help save others in Africa, it seems a much smaller inconvenience to avoid putting others at risk when you return to the States. Bravo to state governments for putting in place sensible protections intended to PREVENT panic, or exposure - especially when our asinine federal government will not.
