occer-Laduma can reveal that concerns over the pitchs condition remain ahead of the CAF Champions League final second leg between Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly at the Arab Contractors Stadium. Despite the Egyptian giants having wanted to move the game to the Cairo International Stadium, the decision to hold it at the Arab Contractors Stadium stood. The seven times African champions wanted the game moved in the hopes of having a more intimidating atmosphere, as the Cairo International Stadium would have been able to host around 70 000 people. Soccer-Laduma journalist Joe Crann has been on the ground in Egypt as he keeps us informed of the mood in camp for Orlando Pirates as well as any news leading up to the game. Pirates saw the pitch for the first time ahead of the game this evening as they went through a training session, and Joe gave us his initial report, suggesting that it could impact the Sea Robbers slick passing game. I got up close with the pitch and it already looks a bit chopped up. Any kind of hard contact on it could see it fall to pieces a little bit tomorrow. Its a bit bobbly too, which could stop Pirates slick passing game, he said. Joe has been hard at work ahead of the final, so be sure to follow Joe and Soccer Laduma on Twitter for updates as they come through.
