ok, gonna get a lil philosophical for a minute here...so Ive heard on more than a few occasions people refer to passion they possess for their chosen sport, yet their ability and actions prove otherwise. having been an athlete most of my life and a paid athlete for the better part of my twenties I feel like I can say this with some authority. being passionate is not the same as being driven. passion does not replace training, sweating, bleeding, competing...ya kno hard work. im passionate about food, but u dont see me cooking over at The Ritz Carlton do ya??? Romanticizing something in ur mind does not make it so...dues must be paid. I paid mine in the boxing ring until the ring finally paid me. ive paid and continue to pay my dues every time im under the bar...every time I set foot onto the field. we all pay our dues...its part of the cycle. Passion is not enough...not even close to enough...passion is what gets u started...
