The word on the street is that Amazon is set to announce a successor to the Kindle Fire HD. there was a slash in price of Kindle tablets in the US. This led to the speculation that Kindle E-book maker could announce an updated Kindle Fire HD in the coming months. Now according to the GFXBench scores ( via My Drivers), a new Amazon Kindle tablet has surfaced. Most likely, the tablet will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Adreno 320 GPU. Moreover,leaked specs suggest tablet display size of 8.9-inches having resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The device will have an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera and an option to choose between 16GB/32/64GB internal memory. Amazon is yet to accept whether new tablets are on the way or not. If the tech vendor is really prepping a new tablet, then we will get to know in the coming days. In India, the Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HD 8.9 were introduced few months back. Both devices are doing quite well. The 7-inch Kindle Fire HD is priced at Rs. 15,999. In terms of specifications, it comes with a 7-inch having resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with Imagination PowerVR 3D graphics coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal memory. Amazon claims the Kindle Fire HD can run up to 11 hours non - stop (wireless off). On the other hand, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is priced at Rs. 21,999. The specifications are unchanged, however, as the name suggests - the device comes with an 8.9-inch display having resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This very tablet is sufficient to run up to 10 hours on a single charge.
