[rabbit food syndrome] My meals may look clean and like a typical bodybuilding diet with my lentil salads, but there is a slight difference that makes all the difference. That difference is that I am tracking macros..... What difference does that make I hear you ask? Well although the meals may be similar and commonly named rabbit food, the fact that I choose to eat these foods rather than have to eat them. Its a simple mental shift which makes a massive difference in long term adherence resulting in greater long term success. I understand that the food is larger in volume and lower in caloric density enabling me to eat larger volumes of food and feel fuller for longer. As well as consuming a higher intake of dietary fibre enabling greater dietary induced thermogenesis resulting in more fat loss and usually extra wind. The simple reason I choose not to eat other more dense caloric foods is as simple as I want to eat large volumes of food and fibre to make my dieting easier. Not the fact that certain foods are bad or dirty as this only leads to food avoidance which usually results in binging at those foods you enjoy but restrict yourself from as you see them as forbidden and dirty. Make that simple mental shift today and see your progress in well being, dietary compliance and physique composition change for the long term.
