randall – Simply put, Election Day wasn’t what we hoped for. But with your support, the Democratic Governors Association still scored some victories we should be proud of. In Pennsylvania, Governor-elect Tom Wolf became the first candidate ever to defeat a Pennsylvania governor seeking reelection. And in Rhode Island, we helped Gina Raimondo become the first woman governor in her state’s history and one of only two Democratic women governors nationwide. The Republican Governors Association came hard after four Democrats, and three of them – Governors Dan Malloy, John Hickenlooper, and Maggie Hassan – won reelection. We did all this and more while facing strong headwinds and more than $100 million in spending from the RGA. We fought back through the power of grassroots donors: over 125,000 gifts from over 70,000 people giving $10, $20, $25, whatever they could afford. You were the difference. Day one of the 2016 cycle has started, and we’re back at work. We’ll fight to create jobs, promote equality, and pass equal pay. With your help, 2016’s going to be a whole lot better.
