school subjects we should teach our children from primary school age 1 law 2 religion - ALL OF IT not just one faith... 3 History - ALL OF IT not just a particular area 4 music - classical, religious and secular as well as learning an instrument 5 awareness - are we all the same? what makes us different? why is it not ok to hate or ridicule someone because of a difference they may have? 6 arithmetic NOT mathematics. times tables, addition, subtraction, division long multiplication long division, fractions, weights and measures, shopping and budgeting skills 7 elocution - how to speak properly 8 etiquette - how to act properly and function within society 9 at least 2 languages 10 Sign Language and Makaton 11 english literature 12 creative writing 13 drama 14 first aid 15 sports - all sports not just soccer, gymnastics, basketball, athletics, netball, social dancing, and volleyball/table tennis/badminton. 16 basic life skills - how to cook, how to maintain a house and a budget, emergency sewing 17 knitting 18 art as a freedom of expression - let each child choose a project and work on it for an entire term. 19 social skills 20 human biology 21 food sciences where does our food come from which additives are banned and why are they banned 22 dance - all types of dance from ballet to Irish and the rest. 23 swimming and basic lifeguarding skills 24 media television and film - how is a film made who controls what how do the actors decide what film or tv show or play they will do next? if you dont agree or if you think my ideas are stupid go right ahead and unfriend or block me because you know what...
