see below from Portadown Cares Believe it or not preparations for this years Christmas hampers is already in progress. Last year we were able to distribute almost 60 family and pensioner hampers to those most in need in our local area. We will soon be asking you for nominations, the criteria for receiving a hamper is genuine need, so if you know of a family who are struggling to make ends meet or a pensioner living on the breadline please let us know. We will also have a trolly in our shop and outside Dunnes Stores in High Street Mall where you can donate non perishable goods such as tins of peas, beans, soup, sugar, tea, coffee, cooking oil, sauce etc. We would also like you to let us know if you hear or anyone who has been recently burgled etc so we can call with what we term a Community Hug, a small gesture just to let them know there are local people who care.
