series 2 Diary of a crazy in love black woman (Part 9) Dear Diary Lindi came to visit as she said she would. I love her personality, a very down to earth, intelligent beautiful lady. She is the kind of a lady that a real man would like to take her home and meet his mother. “She is the marriage material” if i can put it that way. She has all right qualities to be a good wife – that is why I say only a real man can take her home to his mother not boys. You see in the short time I have spent with her I have learnt that there are two kinds of male man in the world. She said “We have a male man who calls himself a man but in reality he is still a boy. He might look matured on the outside but the second he opens his mouth you find out that he is a boy. A boy chase after every skirt he sees, a boy sleep with every girl he meets, he has babies all over the world. He has two or more girlfriend and he calls him a real man. He has no values or standards for his life, most of the time he boasts about what he has, he lives to impress not to express. He shuns responsibility and he has commitment in anything. He goes wherever the wind blows him – he has no vision or mission in life. He is not living he is existing. He hardly think for himself, he stinks. Then there is a real man, this one knows what a woman needs and does everything in his power to meet her needs. He is a visionary, he knows where he is going and he knows what he wants. He is not tossed to and fro by currents of life like a wave – he set goals and achieves them and he does not start something he cannot finish. If he begins to love a woman he loves her with her flaws – since he understands that there is no perfect person out there. He is the source, he cultivates and protects. He provides for his family and himself. As you know before God created man, he created a garden for a man to work, a real man must be able to meet his family’s needs – he must not be lazy to work. Secondly he must cultivate his woman. You see when he meets a lady and maybe decides to marry her someday. He needs to work on her; she must not be the same as he met her. He needs to cultivate her just like a gardener cultivates his garden for his crops to bring forth a good harvest. He must make sure she grows or as they say whatever that does not grow dies – she must not die in his hands; he should uproot all weeds and grass around her like a good farmer does in his field. And just like a farmer buys all kinds of fertilizers for his field to get a better harvest, a real man also needs to spend time and his money on his lady to shape her to what he wants to be – a real man always adds value in his partner, he does not depreciate it. A real man protects, as you know every women loves security, she must feel secured when she is with him or away from him, he must protect her not only from thieves on the outside but also the thieves inside who might steal his heart away from her – she must be able to trust him around other women without feeling threatened. My dear diary if I knew all of these long time ago I am sure I would not have wasted my time with boys. Anyway Lindi told me that she normally accompanies the pastor to preach in prisons, she asked if I would like to go with them this week. To be honest I would love to go but the problem is I am afraid. I am afraid what those guys might do to us, two women, one pastor and room full of prisoners. Although Lindi assured me that there will be warders with us but you can never know what prisoners might do. But I told her I will think about it. what do you think i should do?
