*sorry Romione shippers it was a tie but I had just written about Romione wedding and its hard for me to write canon couples* Draco sat in the corridor outside his common room entrance twirling his wand between his fingers. He had a lump in his stomach for setting the bucktooth charm at Hermione, he wanted to look cool in front of his friends in the heat of the moment. And honestly he didnt think Snape would say what he did, Draco was so angry but he knew the blame was all his. He sat for a while just sitting, thinking how he could remedy the situation when he realised it was time to get ready for the ball. Dressed in his dark green dress robes escorted his date Pansy Parkinson to the great hall. She wore a revealing black dress and as Malfoy glanced at her he just couldnt help but realise that although attractive she was nowhere as beautiful as Hermione. As they milled in the entrance to the hall something on the stairs caught his eye. Standing at the top was a stunning girl, someone he hadnt ever seen before yet she looked his age. Draco couldnt stop staring and suddenly it clicked, her hair had been smoothed and pinned elegantly, her teeth were smaller than normal and she wore a dress that clung to her shapely body in all the right places but walking down the steps was Hermione Granger more beautiful than ever. Draco snapped out of his trance and quickly notice that Hermione had captured the attention of a few boys in the room. He felt insanely jealous and even more so when she linked arms with Victor Krum as he escorted her to open the Yule Ball with him. Draco was then suddenly yanked on the arm and dragged to the dancefloor as Pansy made him dance with her and Draco knew that the night was going to be a long one. Many hours passed and Draco was pulled into dancing many times but towards the end of the night Draco wasnt enthusiastic enough for Pansy so she found a new partner and Draco decided it was time to return to his dorm. He stepped into cool Grand Hall entrance and was confronted by Hermione sobbing on the steps. Draco felt uneasy, which was weird as never once in his life had he not been confident but Draco knew he had one chance to right wrongs so in a bold move he went and sat next to the crying girl. She lifted her head and the sudden presence and glared. I am not in the mood to deal with your foul conniving ways Malfoy Draco was startled No no quite honestly I want to apologise, what i did was really wrong today No actually I want to thank you because I finally got my teeth fixed and I dont have to hear you snigger at them again so if thats all I think you should be going Well no I also want to know why you would be crying on the staircase when you just opened a ball with Victor Krum Because boys arent intelligent Which boys? Bet it was that blood traitor Weasley None of your business Well i would like to know what kind of muggle would cause the most beautiful girl at the ball to cry Hermione just stared wide eyed before she made to stand up and walk up the stairs. Where are you going? asked Draco Im not in the mood to have you play games or tease me Malfoy, so Im going to bed Malfoy disheartenedly rose as well but plucked out the last of his courage of the nigh and before Hermione left he placed a kiss on Hermiones lips. Hermione looked stunned and stared as if waiting for answers. Im not an unintelligent boy Granger, I know when a pretty girl needs a kiss smiled Draco with his smoothness returning. It took even Hermione by surprise when she leaned back in and returned the kiss. But I am a tease Malfoy replied Hermione as she turned on her heel and retreated up the stairs giggling leaving Draco to stand there stunned. *I dont know, the character didnt quite sound like Hermione and Draco and It went a bit quickly but I havent wrote a Dramione in a while so please forgive me shippers. Theres a few more ships Im planning to write soon so please stay tuned. Anyways enjoy the fact that no one died this time and just enjoy the story :)* ~Padfoot
