sorry for the lack of updates, here is a breakdown of what has happened and will be happening over 60% of our cadets that applied for summer training were accepted, with many standing out and receiving awards and recognitions! August 22-24 Lion helped coordinate the parking for the peach festival at E.D. Smith farm! Bravo Zulu to the cadets and officers that came out! over the summer we bid farewell to Petty Officer 1st class Sun. He will be moving to Ottawa to study journalism at Carlton University! Thank you for your years of dedication PO1 Sun, and good luck on your future endeavours! for the first time in 10 years, the Haida Cup, a sail regatta for the cadets of Lion and Cougar, was held Sept. 5-7. the winners this year were cadets Evan Austin and Wortley! September 3 we held our annual Welcome Back BBQ! it was great to welcome back our returning cadets from their summer and hear about what they had accomplished, as well as welcome new cadets who were either brand new or were recent cadets of NLCC Cougar! Important Dates to come. September 21, Lieutenant-Colonel Irish Memorial Event September 26-28 tagging weekend October 3-5 Senior Cadet training weekend October 4th Orienteering Competition.
