stella update back in ko samui to clear customs imigration, just had 5 nice days cruising the islands north and west of koh samui, the national park islands to the west were very nice, and no people, our plan at present to is to head to terenganu west malaysia and then east to brunae then north to kudat tip of borneo to haul out and do maintainece. we still have no fridge and of recent times alternator trouble, will try to fix here tomorow before we leave, but not really need alternatior without fridge as solar is all we need. we have had several incidents here which have been less than friendly towards us, it seems all thais think mitchell is thai and when they find out she is philipina they are less than impressed, we had our dingy rammed by jet ski in one bay on the beach, when i aproached the operator i was abused and assaulted by his workers and told go back to our own country, we promply left the bay for another anchorage, we had a minor accident on the motor cycle, it amazed us as the traffic just went on arround us no one stopping,. or no bystander asking if we were ok. we went to a pharmacy to buy some pain killers and detol to patch our wounds, tehy had seats in there for us to sit on and water to drink. when they spoke to mitchell in thai and i said she is philipina not thai they told us to treat our wounds on the sidewalk and t we could buy water up the road , i kid you not. so yes nick cant judge a whole race by one incident, it seems unless the thais are getting money from you then you are of no use to them at all, and im sure if i sat in there bars and drank all the beer i would have alot of friends here trev till the dosh rran out anyways we are looking forward to moving on we wonderful time with john and sandra , and miss them already. hope all are well there we hope to return to nz for october for a longer period this year stella over
