sustainability: coffee is just one example of the link of land to climate to crop...its not just marketing and terroir...its now a matter of being able to grow it there at all. were going to see this more and more, not just in far distant developing countries...climate shifts will cause the dislocation and withering of long lived valuable producing assets...and its called california, americas fruit and salad bowl. maybe this will change the tenor of the climate debate...this aint politics, its now economics.
