thank you to all those that have annette in their thoughts and prayers! today the dr gave mixed news ,she is attempting to breathe on her own but still needs the ventolator, her eeg showed minimal brain function but that could improve as the swelling in her head goes down, dr also discussed making decisions about her quality of life.(a really tough thing to face). then the most encouraging thing happened, while bill was washing her face she threw her arm up at him as if to say knock it off, she moved her arms several times in response to his touch and her heart rate would increase. then she stretched her legs, the nurse said a straight leg stretch is involuntary, at that point even though her legs are wrapped in cooling packs she obviously tried to bend her knee,as if saying i am still here! she is far from out of the woods and time will tell , but this gave us all a ray of hope we really needed!
